Kingsville Council will consider $200,000 for active transportation during 2012 budget deliberations. The town wants to move forward with trail connections to Leamington and Colchester.

Mayor Nelson Santos hopes the County will help fund part of those initiatives.  “Our partnership with the county of Essex and its transportation plan. We hope it will have some matching dollars or some funds to help us complete our projects.”

The active transportation committee has submitted its recommendations to the town for consideration in the master plan. Council budget deliberations will begin in mid January.
