Accomplished dancer, Brooke Viselli follows her Passion to LA
Brooke Viselli, an accomplished dancer from Windsor, has packed up her dreams and recently moved to Los Angeles, California. It is the culmination of many years of dance lessons, competitions, and a university degree in dance that have paved the way for this new adventure. Brooke, 22, started dancing at 4 years old and credits local dance studio, Dance Barre, with the intensive dance training that inspired her to work towards a career in dance.
In 2007, Lindsay and Blake Angier opened Dance Barre after returning from their own careers in LA. Under their professional instruction, Brooke studied Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Lyrical/Contemporary, and was also a member of Dance Barre’s Elite company, where she received a variety of scholarships and national awards. While competing all over the United States, Brooke was able to take master classes from the likes of Mandy Moore, tWitch, Sonya Tayeh, Christian Vincent (renowned Windsor area dancer/ choreographer) and many more. Brooke then attended Wayne State University on scholarship and received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance. While there, she studied Ballet, Modern, African, Concert dance and choreography. Brooke was also given the opportunity to perform a contemporary ballet repertoire chosen by the American College Dance Association at the John. F Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, DC.
After graduating, Brooke packed up her suitcases and moved to Los Angeles and within a week she was signed with Go2 Talent Agency. She is currently on faculty at Revolution Dance Center in Pasadena, CA which is owned by Julie Kay Stallcup, a nationally recognized dance educator.
Brooke is training, taking master classes, auditioning for LA/world-renowned choreographers and ultimately living out her lifelong dream. Of this new life and career, Brooke says, “I’ve worked hard for this, it’s where I belong.”
