Hummus recall in US

Sabra Dipping Co. is voluntarily recalling 30,000 cases of hummus in the US due to possible contamination with Listeria, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

No illnesses have yet been reported.

Canadian products are not affected. Health Canada has not issued any warnings or recalls of Sabra products in Canada.

The potential for contamination was discovered when a routine, random sample collected at a Michigan store on March 30 tested positive for Listeria monocytogenes (which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, or those with weakened immune systems)
