Canada Day fun around Windsor Essex!!!

Want to celebrate Canada Day?  Of course you do!  Here’s where the fun is…


Canada Day Celebrations are taking place starting at 2 pm in Lakeshore.

Events include:

West Beach – family kayaking, family sandcastle competition, “Hidden Treasures in the Sand” hunt, and volleyball on the beach.

Lakeview Park – decorated boats, Farmer’s Market, kids’ craft and game tent, haircuts and shave-a-thon fundraiser, and dog agility course.

Entertainment at the amphitheatre begins at 3 pm and concludes with fireworks at 9:50 pm.

Food available; bring lawnchairs.

Canada Day and Ice Cream Festival starts at 9 am at Toddy Jones Park and Fort Malden National Historic Site in Amherstburg.

Events include: Canada D’Eh 5K Run, children’s activities, Farmer’s Market, live entertainment, heritage presentations, food court and fireworks at dusk.

Canada Day Community Picnic will take place from 6 pm – 9 pm on the grounds at Essex United Church, 53 Talbot St. South.

Free hotdogs, hamburgers and watermelon.

Music, games, cards, bouncy castles and fireworks.

All are welcome.


Canada Day festivities take place in Leamington, starting at 7 pm at Seacliff Park. Live entertainment at 7 pm with fireworks to follow at 10:05.

Access to Seacliff Beach will be closed at 5 pm.
