Amanda Osbon is a student at DeVry University in Nashville, and being a single mom, had to take her son to class earlier this month.

“I was embarrassed. I had to swallow my pride and bring my kid to class,” Osbon admitted.

As Osborn said, school is like a job and “you can’t miss work, so you can’t miss school”, so she had no choice but to take her almost 2 year old to class.

But during the lecture, little Xavier got up and walked to the front.

Without skipping a beat, professor Joel Bunkowske, picked the tot up and continued on.

Osbon said she started crying and said, Bunkowske “was amazing, patient and kind”.

Bunkowske himself had some good things to say about Osbon, who he called“the best,” a 4.0 student.

He says that if someone wants an education, nothing should stand in their way.

“If you’re going to miss class because you don’t have a babysitter, I’d much rather let’s find a way to accommodate that for adult working people.”
