A photo of an elderly woman enjoying Johnny Depp movie premiere is getting attention for what she’s NOT doing

Seriously who do you think would have a better time at a movie premiere?

All the people desperately trying to get their phone settings right? That guy trying to focus in on any celebrity that might walk by? Those that are too busy texting, Twittering, Facebooking etc to their friends that they just saw someone famous?

How about a woman that is just enjoying the moment? With her own eyes.

A photo, taken last month at the premiere of “Black Mass” at the Coolidge Corner Theater in Brookline, Massachusetts, is a simple reminder to us that living in the moment is what is important.

It shows an elderly woman quite content leaning on a barricade, watching the goings-on, sans phone.  While others are scrambling to get the lighting or frame right, this wise woman takes it all in without the help of technology.

On your deathbed, are you going to scroll through your phone? No. You will hopefully recall and remember things like the way your kids faces lit up when you made them laugh and the colour of that sunset the day you got married.

And, perhaps, the way Johnny Depp’s eye twinkled when you looked at him – face to face.
