SWEET MOMENT: Stranger Buys Cop Car For Son Of Fallen Officer

Published On May 19, 2015 | By Jay Marchillo | Mornings

Tanner was only 15 when his father, Weld County Sheriff Deputy Sam Brownlee, was killed in the line of duty during a police car chase in 2010. With what little money he had Tanner wanted to buy his father’s Dodge Charger police cruiser at a police auction.

He was outbid and failed to purchase the car — or so he thought.

(I think the best part is that the guy who bought the car decided not to be interviewed because he didn’t want to take away from Tanner’s moment.  Well done, sir!)
