Another amazing weekend at Movement!

Another Memorial Day weekend has passed, and more Movement memories have been made!

Last weekend, Movement the Detroit Electronic Music Festival filled Hart Plaza with over 100,00 talented DJs, musicians and music lovers alike! The 3 days were FULL of hip swaying beats, great weather, killer energy and maybe even some new spirit! I noticed more and more of the younger generation getting into the techno music scene. The underground stage was more PACKED than I have ever seen it, with killer female DJs like Annie Hall, Steffi and Paula Temple, mesmerizing the crowd. This year there were even more amenities, like free bike valet, charging stations, lockers, and a bigger biergarden! The big names were there like DJ Snoopadelic, Skillrex (playing as a duo with Boyz Noize as Dog Blood), Richie Hawtin, Danny Brown, Methodman and Disclosure… but my favourite part of Movement is that moment when you are standing by the Memorial Foundation, and you hear a beat coming from one of the stages you just have to check out!

The Detroit DJ, Bruce Bailey was one of those for me:
Also, People Under the Stairs, a Los Angeles duo that formed in 1997, demanded my attention with their stage presence and catchy tracks…
