Airlines not apologizing or compensating Walk Off The Earth singer
SkyWest Airlines is not apologizing nor is it offering any compensation to Sarah Blackwood, the Canadian Juno-nominated singer from the band Walk Off The Earth after they removed her, her nanny and her 23-month-old son, Giorgio.
The 7 month pregnant Blackwood was travelling from San Francisco to Vancouver when the plane was turned around before taking off “out of concern for her son’s safety”, the airline says.
A spokeswoman for SkyWest said, “The child wasn’t seated on her [Blackwood’s] lap; he was repeatedly in the aisle and on the floor. Noise or crying didn’t factor into the decision.”
Blackwood says that she “hasn’t heard anything from the airline” since the incident last week, despite her complaining about it on social media.
Other passengers posted on the United Airlines Facebook page that she was warned three times that her child must stop crying. No other people have currently come forward to say that the child was on the floor or in the aisle.
