Reynolds spoken out in the past about his father’s struggle with Parkinson’s for 20 years.
The actor also sits on the board of directors run by fellow Canadian actor, Michael J. Fox, who has been diagnosed with the degenerative disorder of the central nervous system.
“My father hasn’t ever really said he has Parkinson’s,” Reynolds said in an interview back in 2014.
“He comes from a very prideful generation and he doesn’t really talk about it much.”
