Robin Williams’ Widow gives first interview since his death: talks about Lewy Body Dementia
Most people think ROBIN WILLIAMS committed suicide because he was depressed. But his widow Susan says that’s NOT the case. It was actually a condition called Lewy Body Dementia, which they didn’t even know he had until after his death.

Lewy Body Dementia is the second most common neurodegenerative disease after Alzheimer’s, and its other symptoms include fluctuating mental status, hallucinations, and impaired motor function.
Things got worse in the months leading up to Robin’s death. He was having massive anxiety attacks, and he had a, quote, “miscalculation” with a door that resulted in a bloody head wound.
Susan says that after Robin’s autopsy, one of the doctors told her, quote, “Robin was very aware that he was losing his mind and there was nothing he could do about it.”
