The bad reviews didn’t stop anyone from going to see “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice”.  It pulled in $170.1 million over the weekend, which was good enough for #1 at the box office, and a few records along the way.

It’s the biggest pre-summer opening ever, beating the original “Hunger Games”, which had a $152.2 million March opening.

It’s also the highest opening for a Batman movie.  The previous record holder was “The Dark Knight Rises”, with $160.9 million.

It’s also the sixth-best opening of all time in the U.S., and it had the fourth-best opening worldwide, with $424.1 million.

But on the flip side, the SAD AFFLECK video took the world by storm this weekend.  It’s got more than 15 million views on YouTube.  If you haven’t seen it yet, someone took video of an interviewer telling Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill the movie is getting bad reviews, and put Simon & Garfunkel’s “The Sound of Silence” over it.

  1. “Zootopia”, $23.1 million.  Up to $240.5 million in its 4th week.

  1. NEW:  “My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2”, $18.1 million.
