Kanye West’s Pro-Trump Rant Gets Boos on Saturday Night Live

“Saturday Night Live” opened this week with a parody of Thursday’s Brett Kavanaugh hearing.  They brought in Matt Damon to play him.  He kinda nailed it.

Former “SNL” cast member Rachel Dratch also popped up to play Democratic Senator Amy Klobachar and Kate Mckinnon was Republican Senator Lindsey Graham.

But the biggest news to come from Saturday night’s show is Kayne West’s bizarre rant. It was his off-air performance that garnered boo’s from the audience.  When the show went off the air, Kayne West went on one of his typical rants, while wearing his “Make America Great Again” hat.

He complained about how so much of the media is liberal, and that’s why everything seems so “one-sided.”  He talked about a “Democratic plan” to take fathers out of the home and promote welfare.

He said people BULLIED him backstage to not wear the hat.  He talked about whether or not Trump is racist, saying, quote, “If I was concerned about racism, I would have moved out of America a long time ago.”

And he gave us this nugget of wisdom:  “Follow your heart, and stop following your mind.  That’s how we’re controlled.  That’s how we’re programmed.”

Kanye didn’t get much of a response.  Only a couple people clapped for some of his points, several people booed, and there was a lot of awkward silence.

Chris Rock, who was  in the audience, can be heard in some of the clip actually chuckling and saying, “My God!”

Earlier in the show, Kanye performed “I Love It” dressed as a Perrier bottle.
