Oprah Goes Door To Door Telling People To Vote

Published On November 2, 2018 | By Kendal Malewicz | Entertainment News

Oprah hits campaign trail in a push for America’s first black female governor. She made a rare political move ahead of the US midterm elections.

The best part is that Oprah is in Georgia canvassing neighborhoods for Stacey Abrams. And she’s LITERALLY going door to door. She posted video from one of the homes on her route, and the woman almost JUMPED OUT OF HER SKIN when she recognized her.  She also told Oprah she was already planning to vote for Abrams.

It would’ve been more interesting if the resident was either undecided or was supporting Abrams’ opponent.  Would they say NO to Oprah . . . debate her . . . or not even care because Oprah Freakin’ Winfrey is at their door?

Oprah also gave a speech at a campaign event, and here are four highlights:

1.  Oprah wasn’t asked to speak, she just called Abrams three days ago, and said she wanted to come to Georgia to lend her support.

2.  Oprah is a registered Independent.  She said she’s voted Republican and Democrat, and it’s important to vote your values and conscience, regardless of the party.

3.  She’s still NOT interested in running for President or anything else.  She said, quote, “I don’t want to run . . . I’m not trying to test any waters.  I don’t want to go in those waters.”

4.  She talked about how NOT voting is “dishonoring” your ancestors who didn’t have the right to vote.  She said, quote, “When I stand in the polls . . . I [may] come as one, but I stand as 10,000, for all those who paved the way that we might have the right to vote.”

At another rally, Oprah referenced her iconic ‘You get a car’ moment by chanting, “You get a vote!  You get a vote!”
