Kingsville Folk Music Festival

AUGUST 7 TO AUGUST 9 – Kingsville Folk Music Festival – a 3 day outdoor celebration of the very best of celtic, bluegrass, acoustic blues and roots music from local, national and international touring artists – is taking place at Kingsville’s Lakeside Park.
5 stages, over 30 acts and 100 shows.
Doors open Friday at 5 pm and Saturday and Sunday at 10 am with 4 stages of ongoing daytime workshop and sessions. The evening main stage begins at 6 pm nightly.
Children’s entertainment will feature: Jangles the Clown: Magic Show and Balloon Artist, wildly-dressed Magoo, local legendy Dale Butler will teach kids of all ages to play the guitar in just 2 minutes and young and old will be on their feet stomping and making noise with Karen Morand. Todd Crowley’s Musical Petting Zoo will be set up all day Saturday and Sunday for kids to walk the zoo of musical instruments, see the instruments up close and enjoy a hands on experience. Other activities for kids include face painting, crafts and workshops and the chance to design and paint your own festival t-shirt.
Local food vendors, juried artisan craft vendors, hand made instruments, local wine and craft beer, root beer floats and more are available for purchase.
Kids 16 and under are admitted free; a weekend pass is $90; Friday pass is $35 and Saturday and Sunday passes are $55 per person for each day.
A portion of the proceeds is allocated to the MAY FUNd, to assist financially disadvantaged children, enabling them to access the arts through volunteer opportunities, mentoring, lessons, workshops and an annual scholarship.
