There’s A Live Action Powerpuff Girls In The Works At CW!
CW is developing a potential series where the Powerpuff Girls are twenty-somethings who are very over the superheroics of their childhoods.
The writers, who are also the writers from Juno and Veronica Mars, explain this reboot with this statement:
“The Powerpuff Girls used to be America’s pint-sized superheroes. Now they’re disillusioned twentysomethings who resent having lost their childhood to crime-fighting. Will they agree to reunite now that the world needs them more than ever?”
A show about cynical adults figuring out how to respond to a messy world…which is almost too relatable.
We don’t know when this will happen or who may be cast, we’re just happy to hear it’s in the works.
