Vancouver Wants To Name Street After Ryan Reynolds…But He Does Not
In most instances, celebs are happy to have their hometown name something after them!
Not for Ryan Reynolds.
An online petition has circulated in hopes to get a Vancouver Street named after Reynolds, with organizers saying he is the city’s “favorite son,” who, quote, “proudly helped elevate the positive profile of his hometown to a worldwide audience.”
However, he has responded saying he appreciates the sentiment but kindly declines:
With all the amazing work him and his wife Blake Lively have done lately, it’s no surprise Vancouverites want to honor him in some way.
Most recently, the couple donated $500,000 to charity supporting homeless youth in Canada.
Reynolds is also quite busy with his latest film, Netflix’s “The Adam Project” is set to come out next year. He’s in Vancouver filming currently.
