Is There Hope For 2021?
There are millions of reasons to be down right now. Families who have lost someone, business owners who has lost their dream… how can we sit here and sip egg nog while a mom somewhere is in a food line to get bread for her kid?
Every minute someone loses a loved one or a job or a wedding ring or totals their car or falls on the ice or burns their mouth on some hot pizza. It’s all bad and it’s all here for us and that sucks, even in the ‘good’ years.
But you know what else happens every minute? Dogs smiling when they see a person they know. Little kids spinning around until they get dizzy and falling down. Someone tasting that really good ice cream you had that one time. Even in ‘bad’ years, those things still happen too.
Tomorrow there will Christmas movies on in the background while we sip an egg nog and watch our kids play with their new toys. And we’ll feel a little bit guilty when we think about those who have it so much worse. But we’ll still sip and watch and enjoy, and I hope wherever you are you’re able to do the same. Help our where you can and be hopeful for 2021.
