Rolling Stone Has Listed The “Top 100 Sitcoms Of All Time”

Anytime Rolling Stone releases a list of the “top” anything, it’s subject to debate.

People all over the place have lots to say about their most recent list, which is the “Top 100 Sitcoms of All Time”.

We’re going to list the top 20 below, but first, check out some of the criteria for the list:

They were looking for “a consistent group of characters and settings” and considered both how funny they were, and also how much they influenced other shows. 

They also eliminated sketch shows such as “Saturday Night Live”, and hour-long comedy series like “Freaks and Geeks”.
