Mix Mornings with Jay & Tori

Since we’re in spooky season now here are the 21 Best Halloween Movies Ever, according to “Variety”.  (NOTE:  We have serious questions as to whether #10 is REALLY a Halloween movie)

1. “Halloween” (1978)
2. “Hocus Pocus” (1993)
3. “Trick ‘r Treat” (2007)
4. “The Nightmare Before Christmas” (1993)
5. “Halloween 3: Season of the Witch” (1982)
6. “Pumpkinhead” (1988)
7. “E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial” (1982)
8. Donnie Darko” (2001)
9. “House of 1000 Corpses” (2003)
10. “The Karate Kid” (1984) (There’s a Halloween dance in the movie.)
11. “Sleepy Hollow” (1999)
12. “Idle Hands” (1999)
13. “Casper” (1995)
14. “Terrifier 2” (2022)
15. “Ernest Scared Stupid” (1991)
16. “Scream 6” (2023)
17. “Trick or Treat” (1986)
18. “Night of the Demons” (1988)
19. “Ginger Snaps” (2000)
20. “Practical Magic” (1998)
21. “Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark” (2019)

*Also, any Halloween-themed movie list that does not include the 1982 classic ‘The Thing’ automatically loses all credibility.  But lists are fun.

You know what goes great with a scary movie?  Pizza!  (that’s too easy, pizza goes with everything.)  Here are some fun(?) facts about your pizza consumption.  *Windsorites, add 30% to these totals

  1. The average CANADIAN eats 180 slices of pizza a year.  That’s just under 23 pizzas, or about two per month all on your own
  2. The average person eats pizza three times per month, and says they can take down five slices in one sitting, no problem
  3. The average CANADIAN’s “perfect” pizza is circular, not square . . . with thick crust . . . topped with cheese, pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, and parmesan.

And people were also asked to pick the worst possible toppings.  AVOCADO ranked first, followed by mac-and-cheese, eggplant, pineapple, and fried chicken.  (fried chicken and pineapple pizza sounds AMAZING by the way!)

Also one in six Canadians prefer their leftover pizza cold.  Tori says theses are potential serial killlers but what does she know, she doesn’t even like pineapple.

And a HUGE congrats to the University of Windsor for making the top 600 universities in the world!!  If you’re asking ‘is that good?’, as I was this morning.  The answer is YES!  It puts our school in the top 25 per cent of all universities globally for its research environment.  Noice.

Have a spooky, cheesy Tuesday.
