Mix Mornings with Jay & Tori

We hope you had a spectacular weekend and are super pumped (??) to be back at work.  Working in December isn’t so bad though, right?  Just think of those elves.  Those poor, overworked elves.  Now that’s pressure friend, we’ve got it easy.

Anyway, here are a couple of noteworthy things from today’s human world:

A poll asked thousands of people what they’d do if they found $1,000 on the ground, and 47% of people say they’d KEEP IT.  Jacksonville was the most honest city . . . Detroit was the least-honest.  Is it REALLY the smart and honest thing to do though?  Maybe ‘found money’ is just god’s way of saying ‘How fast can you run to your apartment without being spotted?’  You decide.

Next..

Did you know Tori sometimes goes a week in between hair washes?  This is both shocking and apparently quite normal.    Some experts say it’s actually better to only wash 1-2 times a week. The more you know.

And finally… don’t feel like taking your gloves off when using your cell phone? We don’t blame you.  This technological bombshell might just blow your mind while it fills your tummy:

A U.K. mathematician named Hannah Fry did a video explaining why gloves don’t always work on cell phones . . . but sausages and pickles do.  It’s complicated, but here’s the explanation in a nutshell.

It has to do with ELECTRICITY.  Humans, sausages, and pickles can store and conduct an electrical charge, so when we touch our phone screen our stored charge connects with the grid inside.  Try it with a pickle, then eat the pickle and tell the person you called that they were just pickle-dialed.

Have a great Monday, make sure you grab a few extra jars of pickles while you’re out.
