Taylor Swift’s Surprises Fans With New Album ‘Folklore’
Today’s Daily Scoop was totally shaken up when Taylor Swift surprise dropped the news that her 8th studio album Folklore will come out TONIGHT at midnight!
Taylor claims that while many of her summer plans didn’t pan out, this unexpected album DID. We’ve been waiting for a big quarantine album like this to come out!
In her lengthy and heartfelt announcement, we learned that the album will feature notable guests, including Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon, friend Jack Antonoff (of The Bleachers), and The National’s Aaron Dessner. Dessner also confirmed that his brother Bryce and bandmate Bryan Devendorf will appear on the album.
Swift also said, “Before this year I probably would’ve overthought when to release this music at the ‘perfect’ time, but the times we’re living in keep reminding me that nothing is guaranteed. My gut is telling me that if you make something you love, you should just put it out into the world. That’s the side of uncertainty I can get on board with. Love you guys so much.”
In the following post, she revealed that Folklore will have 16 songs, plus 18 songs on the deluxe physical version. She also confirmed that the video for “Cardigan” will drop tonight as well.
