Bridgerton Season 2 Cast Announcements!
It seems that Netflix and Shondaland are trying to ease our pain after the news of Regé-Jean Page not returning for season 2.
We’ve got some cast announcements for the next season!
As we know, production is set to start sometime this Spring (so anytime then?).
Since the show is based on the book series, we already know the plot of the upcoming season AND character names, which finally have some faces behind them.
Season 2 will focus on Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey) and his quest for courtship.
We know that Anthony’s main love interest, named Kate Sharma, will be played by Sex Education’s Simone Ashley.
Kate’s younger sister, Edwina Sharma will be played by Alex Rider actress Charithra Chandran.
Their mother, Lady Mary Sharma will be played by Shelley Conn, best known for her roles in Mistresses and Love Sarah.
We also got two new male cast members, including Calum Lynch playing Theo Sharpe and Rupert Young, portaying Jack.
Until we get more information on the upcoming season, we’ll chew over these casting choices. Just based on their pictures / profiles I have to say, I’m pretty happy with these choices.
