Quentin Tarantino Refuses To Give His Mom Money Because She Said WHAT?
Quentin Tarantino is in the news today, for saying something that people consider to be “petty”.
He shared in an interview with the podcast The Moment that when he was young, his mother mocked and laughed at him for his dream to be a screenwriter.
According to him, his mother would cuss him out for getting in trouble at school for constantly writing screenplays. He said,
She was b******* at me about that. And then in the middle of her little tirade, she said, ‘Oh, and by the way, this little writing career,’ with the finger quotes and everything. This little writing career that you’re doing? That s*** is over.”
He continued…
When she said that to me in that sarcastic way, I go, ‘OK, lady, when I become a successful writer, you will never see penny one from my success. There will be no house for you. There’s no vacation for you, no Elvis Cadillac for mommy. You get nothing. Because you said that’.”
He shared that he once helped her get out of a jam with the IRS, but that is the extent of him sharing his wealth with her.
What do you think? Should he (who is now 58, by the way) feel obligated to financially support his mother?
